Swimming and Technique Training - St. John’s Recreation Center
Hello all, this is our first New York Triathlon Club swimming event! The first sport of a triathlon. The swimming leg of the race is one of the most difficult leg of the race. The proper swimming technique is critical to maintaining energy for the remainder of the race.
The best possible and less expensive option for indoor swimming in the New York area I found is the NYC Recreation Center pools. The membership for all the NYC Recreation Center and indoor pools is $150 annually . The swimming event will include 45 minutes of swimming. I will be able to help with your swim stroke give you pointer along the way. If anyone is uneased with the swimming or need help with this leg of Triathlon I am here to help.
We meet at St. John’s Recreation Center. The location has an large indoor pool(picture above). The adult lap swim starts at 2:30 PM on Saturdays and ends at 3:30PM.
