Switch & Play NYC 5-Year Anniversary Meetup

After taking two months off, Switch & Play NYC is back with monthly meetups! This one is a lot more special, because we are celebrating our Five-Year Anniversary! The plan is we are going to host a Competition, similar to the Nintendo World Championships! We will be having multiple rounds of the competition with a 16-Player cap. The games used will be revealed at the event itself! We're also going to have a slideshow with pictures from past events, as well as video footage from previous events shown throughout the night!

The Anniversary Event will be happening on Friday, March 25th, from 4PM to 10PM! We have a space rented out at a private location, where we'll be having displays with different Switch games for everyone to play!

Special thanks goes out to Skitty’s family for allowing us to use the space once again!

DISCLAIMER: Due to the spacing, we have capped the event to 40 attendees. If you are planning on attending this event, you must RSVP! If you know you can't make it, or you have to cancel at the last moment, make sure to set your RSVP to Not going.

Just a heads up, Food will NOT be provided at the event. There are plenty of food options within the area, which you can bring to the event to eat.

Also, even though a lot of people in NYC are fully vaccinated, we're still in the middle of the pandemic, and it's not over yet. All of the Admins are fully vaccinated, and we will continue to take all the necessary precautions to keep the meetup safe for everyone! For more information on how we'll handle things, here is the link to the statement:

We also recommend every attendee to bring their masks with them, even when fully vaccinated. If you don't have one, a mask will be provided. If you haven’t got a booster shot yet, we strongly recommend you do so!

Since there will be indoor venues checking people if they're fully vaccinated, we recommend everyone to download the Excelsior pass. We don't plan to check if anyone has the Excelsior pass, but we recommend it in case it's required to get into an indoor venue.
