What we're about
Did you leave an insular religion and are you interested in sharing your experiences with others like you? If so, you are welcome to join Footsteps’ monthly virtual Interfaithless Meetup, which brings together folks who left all kinds of insular religions, including but not limited to former ultra-Orthodox Jews, former Muslims, former Jehovah’s Witnesses, former Evangelicals, former LDS, former Presbyterians, etc. We chat about all aspects of this experience, from relationships with family and friends to mental health and more.
Footsteps is an organization providing comprehensive services to people who have chosen to leave their ultra-Orthodox communities and begin new lives. Based in New York, Footsteps provides a range of services, including social and emotional support, educational and career guidance, workshops and social activities, and access to resources. Thanks to Footsteps, former ultra-Orthodox Jews have a safe, supportive, and flourishing community to turn to as they work to define their own identities, build new connections, and lead productive lives on their own terms.
