Hudson River Walk in Spring
Approximately 6 miles, 3-4 hours, pace: 2.5 - 3 mph
We meet at 10AM at Chelsea Piers (23rd St), right outside of the restrooms on the north side of the piers. Take the A/C/E, 1 or F train to 23rd Street and head west towards the Hudson River. Allow 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the start depending on which train you are taking.
We proceed north along the Hudson River into Riverside Park. We will take a 10-minute break in Riverside Park at 70th Street where there are restrooms. We will then continue on the Riverside Park path along Cherry Walk (100th -125th) to Riverbank State Park at 138th Street. There are restrooms at the Riverbank facility. We'll enjoy the amazing views of the Hudson River and have lunch on the benches or grassy area.
From there, you can take a bus from 145th street/Riverbank or walk west one block to pick up the #1 train.
For those with extra energy, we will continue south on Riverside Drive to 72nd Street/Riverside Drive.
Bring: Water and lunch. We'll have lunch at the end of our walk in Riverbank State Park.
